Salvador Dalí was born in figueroa, spain on may 11th of 1904.

Dali and Garcia Lorca had their particular "brokeback montain" in the spain of the 20s, they met on 1992 on a students residence in madrid. That was a good love story but it was never accomplished, because although Lorca was sure of what he felt for his friend, but Dali never accepted his homosexuality.Lorca and Dali maintained a close art and personal relationship, but in 1928 they finished their comunication.
Dali and Disney created a short film called "Destino", which was never finished, years later, disney´s nephew and dali´s apprentice finished that short film.

* Daniel  Felipe Osorio Marin
Joel-Peter Witkin

This photographer shows other forms of the live such as deformations of the man, cases than other don’t do
He is an American photographer. His work often deals with such themes as death, corpses (and sometimes dismembered portions thereof), and various outsiders such as dwarfs, transsexuals, hermaphrodites, and physically deformed people
Is his darkly imaginative photography an intellectually camouflaged freak show or high art?
In the world theses photographer don’t appearce because its seems to be few important in the world in that we live.

I leave you a video with a little rough and obscene art,
yet strangely beautiful and fullof details,
Mark Ryden.

DISNEY, DALÍ AND THE FILM LOST

In 1946, Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí created the animated short, Destino. Because of misunderstandings between the film it, was left unfinished, but now a team rebuilt the legendary Disney project, which was seen last october at the Film Festival in New York.

In 1937, Dalí wrote to André Breton about their journey to California: "I came to Hollywood and got in touch with the big three American Surrealist bastions: the Marx brothers, Cecil B. DeMille and Walt Disney".

In a partu at the home of the producer Jack Warner in 1945, Disney and Dalí met again the following year, embarked on one of the most unlikely artistic collaborations of the twentieth century: the creator of Mickey Mouse and the painter of dreamlike images joined forces to create the cartoon Destino.

Dalí told the press, that would be "a magic show of the problem of like in the labyrinth of time". Nervously, Disney translated, calling it "just the simple story of a girl searching for her true love". For eight months they worked together, until Disney, citing financial problems due to the war, abandoned the project.

In the 57 years since then, the unfinished animated cartoon has acquired the reputation of a lost materpiece: Target has become a short animation  bordering on legendary. but it is not lost: last October, during the Film Festival in New York, the legend of six and a half minutes finally premiered in the U.S.

The animated short has been reconstructed from paintings and drawings by Dalí by a new generation of filmmakers coordinated by Disney`s nephew, Roy, vice president of the Walt Disney Company, and for which Dalí`s assistant on the original project John Hench, now 95 years old.

This is the short film: Destino

Frida Kahlo de Rivera

Frida Kahlo de Rivera (July 6, 1907 – July 13, 1954; born Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo y Calderón) was a Mexican painter, born in Coyoacán ,and perhaps best known for her self-portraits.
Kahlo's life began and ended in Mexico City, in her home known as the Blue House. She gave her birth date as July 7, 1910, but her birth certificate shows July 6, 1907. Kahlo had allegedly wanted the year of her birth to coincide with the year of the beginning of the Mexican revolution so that her life would begin with the birth of modern Mexico. At the age of six, Frida developed polio, which caused her right leg to appear much thinner than the other. It was to remain that way permanently. Her work has been celebrated in Mexico as emblematic of national and indigenous tradition, and by feminists for its uncompromising depiction of the female experience and form.
Mexican culture and Amerindian cultural tradition are important in her work, which has been sometimes characterized as Naïve art or folk art. Her work has also been described as "surrealist", and in 1938 André Breton, principal initiator of the surrealist movement, described Kahlo's art as a "ribbon around a bomb".
Kahlo had a volatile marriage with the famous Mexican artist Diego Rivera. She suffered lifelong health problems, many of which derived from a traffic accident during her teenage years. These issues are represented in her works, many of which are self-portraits of one sort or another. Kahlo suggested, "I paint myself because I am so often alone and because I am the subject I know best." She also stated, "I was born a bitch. I was born a painter."

Debora Arango

Débora Arango (November 11, 1907 – December 4, 2005) was a Colombian artist, born in Medellín, Colombia as the daughter of Castor María Arango Díaz and Elvira Pérez. Though she was primarily a painter, Arango also worked in other media, such as ceramics and graphic art. Throughout her career, Arango used her artwork to explore many politically charged and controversial issues, her subjects ranging from nude women to the role of the Roman Catholic Church to dictatorships.

Eugenio Salvador Dali

Eugenio Salvador Dalí was undoubtedly a genius. At the age of 14 he already had exhibited their work to critics, he was frequently (and sometimes art`s school), misunderstood. At the age of 22 he meet Picasso. He was also expelled from the school of art. Some years later he became part of the surrealist group in Paris, where he begins his relationship with Gala, which lasted until 1982 when she died. At the age of 79 Dalí painted his last work in 1989, dies at the age of 85.

1904: At 8 hours and 45 minutes from may 11th an artist was boen in Figueres, Spain, Eugenio Salvador Dalí. The meaning of his name "Salvador" is, according to Dalí,  that he was destined to rescue and save the mediocre painting of catastrophes of modern art.
1908: Birth of his sister Ana Maria, who was the only female model to appear on the scene of Gala.
1914: Attends a School of painting.
1918:  His first exhibition.
1924: Goes to the art`s school in Madrid.
1923: Was expel a year of school.
1924: Arrested on suspicion policies.
1925: Back to art`s school.
1925: Visited Garcia Lorca in Cadaques.

Eugenio Federico Garcia Lorca and Salvador Dalí lived their particular "Brokeback mountain" in Spain in the 20`s. One of the most fascinating and sad stories of two of the most important of our cultural landscape. Their relationship went beyond mere friendship. They met in 1922 at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid (when they were 24 and 18 years respectively). It was a great love story but never got consummated. Lorca, less fearful to eroticism, was much more aware of the love felt for his friend. As Lorca saw him, he fell in love with Dalí, but he did not accept his homosexuality, among others things, the influence of a severe father, the notary of Figueras. Remained, nonetheless, a very close perconal and artistic relationship first, and a complex aesthetic debate later, until 1928 when there was estrangement between the two.

1926: Was expelled from the school of arts.
1927: Visit to Pablo Picasso.
1928: Visit to Paris, and asked the driver if he knew a good brothel. Then he went the famous "chabanais" and there is struck by the erotic vulgarity if his staircase.
1929: Meet other surrealist and Elena Dimitrivna Diakonoca (Gala). Collaborated with Luis Buñuel in the film "Un chien Andalou" (The anlalusian dog). The strange sequence of this film liked to the surrealists, bur the general public could not digest their raw scenes.
1930: The second film with Buñuel "L`ade d`or" (The golden age). This is a film filled with such violence that was protested by the public. During his first performance there was a scuffle involving a group of extreme right. The film was badly damaged and the police banned its screening.
1931: Home of the famous soft watches.
1938: Meet Sigmung Freud.
1940: Dalí and Gala moved to United States of America.
1945: Is intereseted in nuclear physics.
1946: Produce some pictures for Walt Disney.
1958: Dalí and Gala got are married.
1974: Opening of the "Teatro Museo Dalí" in figueres.
1982: Gala died.
1983: His last painting.
1986: Suffers burns in a fire at his castle.

On january 23rd - 1989 at the age of 84 years, Eugenio Salvador Dalí died in Figueres.

Joel-Peter Witkin

Joel-Peter Witkin

Is his darkly imaginative photography an intellectually camouflaged freak show or high art?

True perverts are born, not made.

Those who are truly bewitched by a good/evil power play in their sexuality, those who have a deep impulse to stick pins in their scrotums and hooks in their nipples, or be mummified, tied up and caned by mean women in tall boots, are slightly different from other people.
